Expanded Learning Program - GUSD

The goal of the Expanded Learning Childcare Program is to provide a safe, engaging and nurturing environment for our students. Our program is based on the belief that children are decision-makers and may choose to participate in arts and crafts, organized games and sports, and other enriching and developmentally appropriate activities. Our program will also provide a safe space for social emotional learning and mindfulness. We have designated quiet time for students to work on homework, read, and work on a quiet activity. We emphasize that an environment in which everyone is “Safe-Respectful-Cooperative-Kind” supports our community. 2026 Summer Thrive Registration; Feb 17 - March 30 (registration closed) Summer Thrive, 2026 June 10 -July 24 from 7:30am - 4:30pm at Foothill Elementary School Regular After School Program Registration; April 1-June 1 After School Program, 2026-27 August 19 -June 4th TK/Kdg Care Program, 2026-27 The Kindergarten/Transitional Kindergarten Bridge Program is available from 1:30pm dismissal. Hours; Tk/Kdg & ASP from 1:30-5:30pm Hours; Tk/Kdg Bridge Only 1:30-3:00pm We provide after school care on all Parent Conference days beginning at the adjusted dismissal time. The Expanded Learning Program will be closed on two district professional development days (10/8/26 & 2/4/27) and all school holidays. Waitlist ASP Registration Opens; June 18
