Expanded Learning Program - GUSD

The goal of the Expanded Learning Childcare Program is to provide a safe, engaging and nurturing environment for our students. Our program is based on the belief that children are decision-makers and may choose to participate in arts and crafts, organized games and sports, and other enriching and developmentally appropriate activities. Our program will also provide a safe space for social emotional learning and mindfulness. We have designated quiet time for students to work on homework, read, and work on a quiet activity. We emphasize that an environment in which everyone is “Safe-Respectful-Cooperative-Kind” supports our community. Now Registering for (beginning Feb.20): Summer Thrive, 2024 June 21 -July 25 from 7:45am - 4:30pm at El Camino School After School Program, 2024-25 August 21 -June 5th Current Programs below: After School Program Child Care (ASP), 2023-24 August 23-June 13 from school dismissal to 5:30 or 6:00pm (school specific) on all school days. Kinderbridge, 2023-24 The Kindergarten/Transitional Kindergarten Bridge Program is available from TK/Kindergarten dismissal to regular school dismissal. Hours; TK/Kinder Bridge M,T,W,F 1:30-3:00 Thur 1:30-2:00 We provide after school care on all Parent Conference days beginning at the adjusted dismissal time. The Expanded Learning Program will be closed on two district professional development days and all school holidays.
